Frequently Asked Questions

Can anyone register for SRA programs or just Wallingford-Swarthmore School District families?

SRA firmly believes that any person can join in any of the seasonal programs and special events. Anyone can join the programs and we do not limit enrollment to Swarthmore residents.

Does SRA include anyone in the hiring of staff or choice of volunteers?

SRA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status in any of its activities, programs, or operations. SRA is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, customers, participants, vendors, subcontractors and coaches.

How do I register online?

All SRA program information and registration information is available under “Programs” on the home page.  When registration becomes available for your program (e.g. Summer Camp, Town Soccer, Volleyball, etc.) an active link will appear on the specific program page.  SRA outsources all registration to Team Snap.

Do you have any programs for adults?

Currently, SRA offers pick up soccer for men on Swarthmore College fields and pick up soccer for women on Henderson Soccer field.  There is an Adult Volleyball League on Wednesday nights at SRS. In the summer SRA offers Bocce Ball, a Horseshoe Tournament and a Town Picnic with fun games for adults including a tug-of-war.

Does SRA offer financial assistance?

SRA Board and staff are committed to assuring that any person or child is able to participate in any of the programs regardless of their current financial status. Financial assistance is giving in the form of a reduced registration fee called a scholarship fee. There is no application process, if a family or individual needs financial assistance, the process is to contact the SRA Director at colleen@swarthmorerecreation.org.  All financial assistance is kept strictly confidential.
