Can anyone register for SRA programs or just Wallingford-Swarthmore School District families?

SRA firmly believes that any person can join in any of the seasonal programs and special events. Anyone can join the programs and we do not limit enrollment to Swarthmore residents.

Does SRA include anyone in the hiring of staff or choice of volunteers?

SRA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status in any of its activities, programs, or operations. SRA is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, customers, participants, vendors, subcontractors and coaches.

How do I see what programs are being offered?

Currently, SRA has a seasonal brochure that gets printed and distributed to the local schools, preschools and businesses.  SRA also posts the seasonal brochures online on this website. SRA in going green in all areas of operation and the seasonal brochure might not be printed in the future and a small promotional flyer might be printed and distributed directing inquirers to the website.

How do I register online?

AdminSports is an outside vendor SRA has contracted with to run the online registration process.  Once on the SRA website, (using a computer, there is no cell app yet for online registration), click on the word “Registration” in the upper right banner.  This will take you directly to the online system where individuals or families can create an account, add family members and register for the seasonal programs.

How do I know if the season is open for registration?

Once the SRA Board has approved the programs for the next season and all facilities, fields and coordinators have been secured, an email goes out to all registered in the online system announcing the seasonal programs are open for registration.  There will also be announcements on social media including FaceBook at the Swarthmore Recreation Association group page, NextDoor Swarthmore and Swarthmore Town Center FaceBook page to name a few. SRA is still currently distributing a seasonal brochure with the dates online registration is open.

Do you have any programs for adults?

Currently, SRA offers pick up soccer for men on Swarthmore College fields and pick up soccer for women on Henderson Soccer field.  There is an Adult Volleyball League on Wednesday nights at SRS. In the summer SRA offers Bocce Ball, a Horseshoe Tournament and a Town Picnic with fun games for adults including a tug-of-war.

Does SRA offer financial assistance?

SRA Board and staff are committed to assuring that any person or child is able to participate in any of the programs regardless of their current financial status. Financial assistance is giving in the form of a reduced registration fee called a scholarship fee. There is no application process, if a family or individual needs financial assistance, the process is to contact the SRA staff.  All financial assistance is kept strictly confidential.
