The SRA T-Ball program is designed to introduce the fundamentals of baseball to 5 and 6 year-old boys and girls.  The program emphasizes instruction on basic baseball skills and the rules of the game.  A soft baseball is used to help the players develop their skills without fear of being hit by either a batted or thrown ball.

The primary goal of the T-ball program is to teach the players the skills needed to compete at the next level of baseball, which is Rookie League baseball provided by our partner Nether-Swarthmore Baseball.  Rookie League baseball uses a hardball, includes both machine and kid pitching, and has other rules which require players to have a firm grasp of the fundamental skills that are taught in T-ball.

Volunteer parents and high school players provide the coaching and instruction.  Parents are encouraged to attend, help out, and cheer the players on!
