HYL 1/2 Lacrosse will get boys and girls in first and second grade ready to play lacrosse as third-graders. For those players who are ready for more action than Little Panthers, the program will combine early lacrosse skills with low-stakes games, both intramural and with an occasional play-day against local clubs.
Both the girls and boys programs will hold two weekly practices in April and May . The practice sessions will be supplemented with play-days on occasional weekends towards the end of the season. The play-day schedule is still in the planning stage with other clubs.
USA LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP: As a condition of our participation in league play, all HYL players in grades 1 and 2 and their coaches must have a valid USA Lacrosse membership that expires after June 01, 2026. This includes any parents who help out on the field at practice or a game. Coaches are reimbursed for the cost of their membership. USA Lacrosse has lots of resources for families who are new to the game.

UNIFORM: Registration price includes an HYL pinnie for each player.
GIRLS EQUIPMENT: Lacrosse stick, lacrosse face mask and mouth guard
BOYS EQUIPMENT: Lacrosse stick, helmet, full pads (gloves, elbow pads, chest pad) mouth guard, and cup.
REGISTRATION: Opens Friday, February 6, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
REGISTRATION FEE: $145. Additionally, all players must have a valid USA Lacrosse membership ($30) and number in order to register.
