Join your friends and neighbors under the stars for the Great Swarthmore Campout! Pack up your tent and roll to Rutgers Avenue Field to pitch it. Enjoy a Saturday evening of music and family friendly games, along with a yummy barbecue. The event wraps up with Sunday morning breakfast before packing and clean up.
WHO: Families and folks of all ages. Parents must accompany children.
WHEN: October 24th beginning at 4:30 p.m. through October 25th at 8 a.m.
WHERE: Rutgers Avenue Field, behind CADES at 401 Rutgers Avenue, Swarthmore
EQUIPMENT: Bring your own tent and camping gear (chairs, toiletries, bug spray, sunscreen, flashlights), snacks and water for your crew, and a side or a dessert to share at dinner. Bring your favorite lawn games. We highly recommend a tarp or footprint in case the grass is damp. Please no pets; no personal grills or fire-pits.
SRA will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, and rolls for dinner, along with coffee, juice, donuts and bagels for breakfast. A portable restroom with a handwashing station will be provided as well.
REGISTRATION: $65 per family and will open Monday, September 28th at 9:00AM.
REGISTRATION FEE: $65 per tent, which includes the price of the barbecue and breakfast (participants are asked to bring a side or a dessert to share)
