The Swarthmore Recreation Association is a non-profit community organization that offers year-round, indoor and outdoor sports and recreation programming for youth and adults in the greater Swarthmore area. All positions require successful completion of Pennsylvania Child Abuse abuse clearances and criminal background checks.
Sports Mentors are teens who are paid to help at SRA programming and events. Mentors help set up and take down, coach and run drills, run clocks and keep books, and help with lots of other jobs. If you are interested in becoming a Sports Mentor, please reach out to SRA Assistant Director Nika Haase and NikaHaase@gmail.com to be added to the team.
Each year, SRA hires several local teachers and teens to work as head counselors and counselors at SRA summer camps. Applications become available in early spring. Please check the Camps section of our website for more information. Many Sport Mentors are hired as Camp Counselors.
