Tournament Hoops for 2026-2027

Nether-Swarthmore Tournament Hoops offers an additional basketball option for dedicated Nether-Swarthmore Hoops recreation players. Tournament Hoops will be offered for students in grades 3-5 and for some middle school grades, depending on coach and player interest.

This year, tournament teams will hold evaluations and form teams in November. Practices are expected to begin in mid-November and continue through mid-March. Teams will practice 1-2 nights per week for about 14-16 weeks, culminating in 3 spring tournaments. Practices for teams will be held at locations still to be determined, including WSSD gyms; the Chester Boys & Girls Club, 201 E. 7th St., Chester PA; the WSFS Bank Sportsplex, 2485 Seaport Drive, Chester, PA; and the Springfield YMCA on Rte. 320.

Teams are divided by grade level and you must be a registered Nether-Swarthmore Hoops recreational player to participate. Coaches need to be identified for a specific team before moving forward with evaluations and team formation.

If you cannot make the scheduled evaluations, please register below and mark your availability and let the coach(es) know through the Teamsnap App.

If you have an interest in helping with a team or organizing/coaching a team not listed here, please reach out to amy@swarthmorerecreation.org.
