Head on out to Subaru Park (the home of the Philadelphia Union) with Chester Upland Youth Soccer, the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, and the Swarthmore Recreation Association for a day of bike riding, feasting, and fun.
We’ll have riding lessons for beginners, obstacle courses, and demonstrations by the Chester Crash Boys, plus corn hole, soccer, and other family fun. Come hungry and join us for a Friendsgiving celebration. CUYS is bringing pizza. Please bring a dessert, salad, or side to share. Registration is high encouraged. All registrants receive a t-shirt to commemorate this fun first-annual event!
Save your used bikes! With help from our friends at the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philly, we will be rehabilitating bikes to be given to Chester families who need them. If you have a bike you’re no longer using, please consider donating! Contact Erin Ewell at

Use the registration link below to sign up and make your donations. (All the money is going the same place. It will just help us to know how many to expect and how you can help.)
DONATE A USED BIKE: Donate bikes (any size, in any condition) at the PAC Center starting October 10, Mondays through Fridays from 9am-6pm. Walk bikes down the ramp by the recycling bins between the Swarthmore library at 125 Park Ave and the PAC Center/Methodist Church at 129 Park Ave. Please let the PAC Center front desk know that you’ve left bikes outside the door so that they can secure them.
REGISTRATION FEE: Registration is free, but donations are requested to help off-set the cost of the event and to benefit Youth Development United, a community organization dedicated to providing extra-curricular programming for underserved families in Chester. Donate an extra $75 to refurbish the bikes we are collecting so they can be given to a family that needs them!
