Swarthmore Soccer Club (SSC) offers fun and affordable travel soccer with practices on local fields in Swarthmore and Wallingford. Our goal is to provide a place for boys and girls to learn soccer and develop their skills, while still being able to explore other sports and activities. SSC provides a soccer experience where parents can be involved in coaching their child and friends, and the cost to play is not prohibitive for families.
SSC teams play in the Central League Soccer and are coached and managed by volunteer parents, supplemented weekly with professional soccer trainers. Teams practice twice each week, beginning in mid-to-late August and continuing through early November. In the fall season, SSC teams play an 8-game schedule against local travel soccer clubs and a tournament. Some teams elect to practice and play in the winter and spring for an additional fee.

REGISTRATION FOR EVALUATIONS NOW OPEN AT THE LINKS BELOW. Cost is $10. Players should wear shin guards and cleats to all tryout sessions. They should also bring a water bottle and an appropriately sized ball (size 4 for players born between 2018-2015, and size 5 for players born in 2014 or earlier).

SSC is open to players of all skill levels and the team commitment is seasonal. We hold evaluations but find a place for everyone to play. Our programs are perfect for active and multi-sport players, as winter and spring offerings are optional and are priced separately from the fall season.
PARENT COACHES: If you are interested in coaching or managing a team, please reach out. We are always looking to bring more volunteers into our club, as many hands make light work. We have soccer trainers and administrative support to make things easier for coaches and managers, many of whom stay with their teams for years. Coaching is a big job; if you can help out, please make note on the registration form, even if you can’t attend every game or practice.
